We're on the lookout for a special foster-to-adopt home for our gentle giant, Layla! This stunning 80-pound Pit Cane Corso mix has a heart as big as her size, and she's ready to bring her boundless love and affection into a forever home.
Layla was found abandoned and cruelly chained up, covered in over 30 bite wounds from her painful past. But despite the trauma she's endured, she is healing beautifully—both physically and emotionally. Now, she's eagerly awaiting the chance to experience the warmth and comfort of a loving foster-to-adopt home.
This sweet girl is house-trained, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and will be spayed soon. She needs a fully fenced yard (at least 6 feet high) and would do best in a home with older kids (12+ due to her size). Once Layla is spayed, we can finalize the adoption and make her a permanent part of your family.
Layla has so much love to give—now she just needs the right foster-to-adopt home to help her continue her journey to happiness. Could that be you? Reach out today to give Layla the fresh start she deserves, and prepare to fall head over heels for this gentle giant! ❤️🐾

Meet TJ – 50 pounds of pure energy, cuddles, and chaos (the good kind). This 1-year-old border collie mix is still just a puppy at heart, and he’s ready to run, play, snuggle, and repeat… preferably with YOU.
High Energy, High Reward
TJ lives for adventure and thrives on activity. He’d crush it at agility or flyball and would absolutely love having a dog sibling to zoom around with. He also loves toys, the great outdoors, and stealing your heart.
Food Motivated = Training Gold
Smart as a whip and very food-driven, TJ is a fast learner. He’s still working on crate training and can be a little anxious when left alone—he just really loves his people.
Not a fan of fireworks (but really, who is?)
The Fine Print:
– No cat exposure (and probably best to avoid them)
– Would do best with another playful dog
– Still very much a puppy, so needs structure, patience, and love
TJ is equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, and shadow. Give him a routine, a buddy, and a backyard—and he’ll give you his whole heart.
LOOKING FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT
She didn’t ask to start over at 8 years old.
She had a home. And then… she didn’t.
Mable was surrendered—at 8 years old—and now she’s trying to adjust to a life that feels unfamiliar, scary, and unpredictable.
Her foster family has been nothing short of amazing. But Mable has a deep, fear-based aggression toward other dogs, and it’s become clear that she needs something they can’t give her: a home where she’s the only animal.
What Mable needs is simple:
• A calm, dog-free home
• A person or family to love—she’s wonderful with adults and kids
• Some yard time for a little stroll now and then
• Twice-weekly medicated baths to help her healing skin
• And most of all… peace.
She doesn’t want to be the center of attention—just the apple of someone’s eye. She’ll quietly follow you from room to room, happy to rest wherever you are. She doesn’t want chaos. She’s had enough of that.
Her skin is already improving with new meds and regular baths. Now she just needs the right environment to finish healing—inside and out.
Please… help us give Mable the soft landing she deserves. She’s been let down once. Let’s not let it happen again.
READY FOR ADOPTION
Hey there, I’m Mocha—a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with the heart of a pup and the energy to match! If you’re into fetch, trail walks, or just watching me zoom around the yard like a goofball, we’re probably soulmates.
My favorite things? Easy—playing ball, chewing on my toys, and being with my people. I know my basic commands like sit, down, off, fetch, and wait (especially when humans go down stairs—safety first, folks). I’ve almost mastered “leave it,” but I mean… have you seen a squirrel before?! I’m also rocking the “come” command, but let’s be real: I do best with a secure fenced yard to help me stay focused.
I’m crate trained and totally cool hanging in my crate when it’s bedtime or chill time. I walk nicely on a leash and am learning to sit calmly while other dogs pass by, even if I’d rather jump in and play.
Let’s talk quirks—I’m not food aggressive, loud noises don’t faze me (fireworks? Yawn), and I love being handled. But other animals? Not really my jam. I get overstimulated and want to be the boss, so I need a savvy human who understands strong-willed sidekicks like me. I’m vocal when left alone, but I settle quickly—I just like to be where the action (and my people) are.
My dream human? Someone active who loves to hike, run, or go on long walks. I’d do best as your one and only pet, and I haven’t been around kids—so let’s just say I’m “kid-neutral” for now. I still like to tear up toys, but I’m great at leaving your stuff alone. Shoes and remotes are safe with me. Pinky promise.
So if you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and slightly silly best friend to share your adventures and your couch—I’m your girl.
READY FOR ADOPTION

Meet Rocket—our ridiculously good-looking, 6-7 month old Aussie mix who’s so pretty, people constantly mistake him for a girl. (We don’t blame them. He’s got model-level looks. )
Rocket is deaf, but don’t let that fool you—this boy is smart, sweet, and eager to learn. He’s already crate and potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, dog friendly, and takes correction well from his canine buddies. He’s got all the typical Aussie energy and would love a playful dog sibling to help burn it off. Oh—and did we mention? He LOVES the water. Splash pads, kiddie pools, sprinklers—if it’s wet, Rocket’s in.
Someone with experience training a deaf dog would be a dream, but more than anything, Rocket just needs someone willing to love him and guide him. With structure and time, he’s going to be AMAZING.
He still has some puppy mouthiness, so we’re recommending kids 8+ until he’s had more training. He’s not trying to be naughty—he just doesn’t know better yet.
But here’s the real heartbreaker: the shelter isn’t where Rocket belongs.
He needs more one-on-one time, more socialization, and more guidance than he’ll ever get here.
Please, don’t let this stunning, sweet, silly, splash-loving boy grow up behind kennel walls.
LOOKING FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT
Hi there, I’m Sparty—and I’ve got a big ol’ heart with your name on it!
I’ve been hanging out with my foster family for a little over a week now, and let me tell you… I love being part of the crew. I get along great with their two dogs (we’ve got a nice little squad going), and while I’m super playful, I’m not bouncing off the walls—I know how to chill, too.
I’m about 2 years old, crate trained, and doing great with that routine, but I’m still working on this whole “potty outside” thing. I promise I’m trying hard and just need a little more guidance. I walk really nicely on a leash and LOVE going for strolls—it’s basically my form of self-care.
I haven’t met any kids or cats yet, so I’m not sure how I feel about them. I do know that I want to be loved and give love right back. I’m full of sweetness and snuggles and just need someone to give me a chance.
I’m not spayed yet, but that will be taken care of through the rescue.
If you’re looking for a new best friend—or maybe just want to give me a chance through foster or foster-to-adopt—I’d love to meet you.

REMI ISN’T A “GOOD BOY.”
He’s the boy.
The one who survived being abandoned in a backyard during a heatwave.
The one who politely accepted help from strangers through a fence.
The one who now knows more commands than most people’s kids.
Sit. Down. Shake. Stay. Come. Rollover. Speak.
Need him to recite Shakespeare next? He’ll probably try.
Remi is 70 pounds of resilience wrapped in muscle, snuggles, and one heck of a blocky head. He’s 4 years old, fully vetted, potty trained, leash trained, and if you’re lucky—he’ll claim your couch by gently resting his head on your leg like you’re the only person in the world.
He’s not looking for drama. He’s looking for:
Calm female dog friends
Respectful kids 8+
A steady supply of stuffy toys (they won’t last long)
A kiddie pool to flop in like a wet seal
A couch and a human to call his own
We seriously don’t know how he’s still here. He’s the dog that makes people stop talking mid-sentence and go, “Wait… why hasn’t HE been adopted?”

BIG POPPY NEEDS A HOME (AND A STURDY COUCH)
Because everyone needs an 85lb lap dog in their life
Big Poppy is a 2-year-old Mastiff who wandered onto a porch in Detroit and just… stayed. He picked his people and never looked back — now he’s hoping someone picks him.
Let’s talk Poppy facts:
- 85lbs of pure goofy love
-Great with kids
- NO cats
- Great with dogs of all sizes
-Crate trained and sleeps through the night
-90% potty trained (belly band for the win while he finishes learning not everything needs his stamp of approval)
Fully vaccinated
Neutered
Microchipped
Will do literally anything for a treat
Big Poppy is still adjusting to life inside, but he’s catching on quick. He loves toys, zoomies, belly rubs, and walks — though he’s still working on the whole “don’t drag your human like a sled” part.
He’s the definition of a gentle giant with no clue how big he is. He’ll try to sit on your lap, jump when he’s excited, and melt your heart every single day.

🚨 SERIOUSLY?! What are you people waiting for?! RICHIE’S is an absolute score and he’s STILL waiting for his forever home! 🐾
Let’s run this down one more time, because clearly y’all must’ve missed how perfect this guy is:
🐶 Name: Richie
📏 Size: Perfect pocket pittie at 31 lbs
📅 Age: About 1.5 years – still a baby with his whole life ahead of him
🏠 House Trained: Yep!
📦 Crate Trained: Yep again!
🐾 Dog Friendly: LOVES to play with other dogs – he needs a playful dog buddy in the home
👧 Kid Friendly: Yes! Great with kids 8+ (he’s a hugger – literally!)
🚶 Leash Pro: Walks like a champ
🚗 Car Friendly: Backseat ride-or-die
💉 Fully vetted: Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
💔 Richey’s Story
Richey was found curled up in a stranger’s yard… and he didn’t move for 3 whole days. Not because he was waiting for someone to notice, but because he had all but given up.
When help finally came, it was clear he’d spent his life crammed in a crate—his legs showed growth deformities, he was frail, emaciated, and could barely walk. We don’t know if he was dumped or discarded, but we do know he was broken down and in desperate need of love.
Today? He’s safe. He’s zooming around, hugging everyone he meets, and proving that resilience and love win every single time.
Fostering a pet is a great way to provide temporary care for an animal in need. It also helps us free up space in our shelter for more animals. Fill out the application below.
